This Malays food stall is famous for its Mee Rebus which is unique as the owner add the satay sauce on top of the noodles.  It used to be at the coffeeshop next to Kovan (the 亚城 teochew porridge).  They have won many food review awards – see below.

The owner is a nice guy.  But when we do food review, we cannot be bias and not objective in our comment.  I will say that though adding the satay sauce is a unique recipe, I still think that satay sauce has made the noodles too sweet and overwhelming.  Good mee rebus will be coming from the gravy and frankly you cant taste much for this stall due to the satay sauce.  They are so many other good mee rebus stalls that do not required such gimmick – try that few stalls at Adams Road or Geylang – more authentic and back to basic.

The other unique recipe is that for $1.50 – $2, you can add additional shredded chicken to your mee rebus.  Again, I still think that it will be best to stick to the basic – Noodles, Gravy, Green Chili, Fried Shallot, Lime, (and may be begedil) – sedap!!

[The stall also sells satay and mee soto]
