There are 2 good fish soup stalls in this old food market at Havelock Road. This stall is right at the end of the corner but you will never miss it as the queue is forever long.
The stall sell many types of soup – you can have the typical seafood / fish soup to go with rice/ noodles or you can have the PAN mian style with different favors (clear soup or tom yam).
I ordered the YI Mee with fried fish. It costs $4 and you get 4/5 extremely generous cut of the fried fish plus noodle soup. I think it is very good value for money – and that could be the reason that it attracted many patrons during lunch time. The fried fish is chunky, well marinated and coated a with well mixed batter. The soup is nothing special but passable. I trust many customers patron this stall because of the fried fish.
